Halla Tomasdottir is the executive chairman and co-founder of Audur Capital. Halla was previously the Managing Director of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce. She spent 6 years at Reykjavik University and was a key member of the foundation of the University as a founder and director for executive education and women entrepreneurship as well as an assistant professor. Halla spent 10 years in the USA where she started her career first with M&M/Mars and later she joined Pepsi Cola’s HR team. Halla has been a non executive director of the boards of a number of organizations including the Icelandic Stock Exchange, Sjova, Iceland’s largest insurance company, Vistor, Iceland’s main pharmaceutical importer and Calidris, an airline software solutions provider. She currently sits on the boards of Reykjavik University, Veritas Capital hf. and the executive board of Iceland Chamber of Commerce
Gudbjörg Edda Eggertsdóttir is the Deputy CEO of Actavis. After completing a masters degree in pharmaceuticals, Gudbjörg Edda joined Delta (now part of Actavis) as Marketing Manager in 1983. She was deputy CEO of Delta 1999-2002, whilst also maintaining responsibility for out-licensing, export and development. Following the Delta - Pharmaco merger in 2002, she was appointed a member of the Management Board of the merged company where she still serves. Guðbjörg Edda has been very active in the Icelandic Pharmaceutical Society serving 4 years as deputy chairman, and 4 years as chairman.
David Adams David graduated from Loughborough University, England in 1984 with First Class Honours in both Mathematics and Economics. David works as a catalyst to corporate branding and innovations processes, helping companies to find their own solutions. He founded his own company in 2002, building on more than 20 years of experience in the international marketing & communications industry, traveling the world with heavyweights like Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, Mars and Shell. Today, David specializes in working with leading Nordic-International companies and some of his more recent projects include corporate branding exercises with Novo Nordisk, Actavis and Coloplast, and innovation programs for Oticon and Novozymes.
Kristin Edwald is a Supreme Court Attorney and is a partner at the law firm LEX in Reykjavik, Iceland. Kristin graduated with a cand. juris degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Iceland in 1997, she was admitted to practice before the District Courts in January 1998 and she was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court in May 2005. Kristin practiced law with a Reykjavik law firm from 1997-2000. From 2000-2002 she was a legal expert at the Economic Crimes Unit of the National Commissioner of Police. Since 2002 she has been practicing law at LEX law offices. Kristin is on the board of directors of the National Broadcasting Service and she is a member of the board of LEX law offices. She was the Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Icelandic Student Loan Fund and was a member of the Reykjavik Child Welfare Committee from 1998-2006. Kristin specializes in corporate law, legislation in the financial markets and she has taught at the Reykjavik University, Faculty of Law.
Hallgrímur Snorrason graduated in economics from the University of Edinburgh in 1969 and continued with post-graduate studies at the University of Lund, Sweden, where he obtained a M.Sc. degree in economics. Hallgrímur was appointed Director General of Statistics Iceland from 1985, a position he held until end 2007 when he retired to take up a carrier as independent consultant in official statistics. His previous positions include Deputy DG at the National Economic Institute 1980-1984, economist at that institute in 1972-1980 and lecturer in economics at the University of Lund in 1970-1971. Hallgrímur has served as a chair or member of numerous government commissions and been a member of the board of directors of private firms. He has been very active in international cooperation in economics and statistics, in particular under the umbrella of the UN and the European Statistical System. At the present time, Hallgrímur is working as consultant on the organization and capacity building of official statistics, mainly in developing countries.
