Audur's Social funds award six grants

On June 19th Women's Wealth at Work donated three grants to institutions and charities.

ABC Children Aid International received a grant to build schools for children in the poorest part of Nairobi, Kenya. 

Alnæmisbörn and Candle Light Foundation received a grant to finance the education of young girls in Kampala, Uganda who have been orphaned due to the AIDS epidemic. The Candle Light Foundation micro loan fund also received a donation. 

The Vigdis Finnbogadottir foundation of foreign languages received a grant to help build a World Language Center.   







Audur's Good Day's Work also contributed cash donation and volunteer work to three charities and associations.

a child sexual abuse (CSA) prevention organization received a cash and volunteer work donation.  The cash will be used to support the prevention efforts for the youngest children and Audur's employees will assist the organization in establishing a trust fund, assisting with education, fundraising and in promotional activities.  

KFUK (YWCA) received volunteer support.  Audur's employees will donate half a days work assisting the YWCA-camp in Vindashlid to create a playground for children participating in the camp. 

Sjónarhóll, a consulting service for families of children with special needs recived a cash donation to continue their family support.



A Good Day's Work is a social project run by Audur's employees.  It has two components: 1) Audur's employees donate one day´s salary each year to a worthy cause. 2) All of Audur's employees participate in a day of volunteer work each year.  

Women's Wealth at Work  is a fund created to assist women, particularly in developing countries, to improve society and create jobs.  Audur has committed  1% of the company´s annual profits to 3W and invites its clients to donate to the fund.  Women's Wold Wealth is a non-profit organization and is governed by a three member board which consist of Guðrún Pétursdóttir, Chairman, Guðfinna Bjarnadóttir and Halla Tómasdóttir.
