Guðlaug started working for Auður in the autum of 2007, first in finance and operations, but now as a pension savings consultant. Guðlaug was previously employed as a Brand Manager at Halldór Jónsson ehf. She has considerable entrepreneurial experience having successfully run several of her own businesses for a number of years. Guðlaug has also worked for Bunadarbanki and Kaupthing at the Foreign Desk.

Gudlaug completed a degree in Business and Operations from University of Iceland's Department of Continuing Education in 2001.

Guðlaug is a passionate golfer and enjoys traveling. She frequently travels around Iceland with her family and their dog. Occasionally she will go rollerblading with her two daughters, Thelma (21) and Astrós (12). She loves reading, playing bridge and cooking. She also has a passion for horses and likes the idea of having a horse farm in the country.
