Brynja has broad experience in Asset Management after nearly 10 years with Bunadarbankinn Securities and Kaupthing bank. She has worked both in private banking and in portfolio management for pension funds and insurance funds. She has also been a fund manager for Kaupthing Managed Balanced fund. Prior experience includes working for KPMG and as the CEO of the Icelandic Association of Horticulture Producers.
Brynja holds a degree in Business Administration (cand.o con) from the University of Iceland and is a chartered stockbroker.
From a very young age Brynja has been active in sports and has served on boards and committees of the Selfoss athletic association. Brynja lives in the town of Selfoss, an hour away from city noises of Reykjavik where she has worked for the past 10 years. She enjoys traveling, particularly in the Icelandic highlands, and frequently goes hiking with friends and family. Brynja is an environmentalist; she makes sure that the household garbage is recycled and plants trees on her farm to make up for the pollution from the family cars. She has three children, each one a true joy to their parents.
