Prior to joining Audur Capital, Tómas was the director of HR&Operations at deCODE Genetics Inc from 2001. Prior to that he was in various managerial and technical roles at OZ Communications, Kögun and VKS.

Tómas holds a BSc in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and recently got a MSc degree in Corporate Finance at Reykjavik University.

Tómas is the chairman of the board at Gagarin ehf.

Having spent a good portion of his adult life in the USA, Tomas is now of the opinion that there is no place better than Iceland, mostly due to the weather. Tomas claims that there are only two types of weather in Iceland, good, and character building. His wife and three kids are not always in agreement, but go along for the evenings at the campfire and the BBQ'd geese and reindeer.
