Arna was the CEO of Calidris, an airline software solutions company from 2003 to 2006, and the Finance Director of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce from January 2007. Prior experience includes 9 years at Landsbanki as VP of Private Investor Services and VP of Fund Management.

Arna holds an MBA from Reykjavik University and has a degree in Business Economics from the University of Reading, England. She is a chartered stockbroker.

Arna is currently the chairman of the board of ELM Design, Maður lifandi, Bio vörur and Yggdrasill. She is also a boardmember of Securitas, TAL and Gagnavarslan.

Arna is passionate about her community and is the chairman of a community group working towards improved urban and environmental development in her home town of Kopavogur. Arna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing bridge and reading good books. She is the mother of two children: Gréta and Viktor.
