Þorgils is born and raised In the Westman Islands. He is extremely interested in golf during the summer but when the winter comes he turns to Handball to keep fit.

Þorgils has a B.Sc in environmental - and constructual engineering and will also graduate with a B.Sc. in software engineering in the spring of 2012.
