Margit has over 20 years of international experience in Investment banking. She started her career in London with BZW, the Investment banking arm of Barclays. From 1996 to 2005 she was in corporate finance for Credit Suisse in Paris. She returned to Iceland in 2005 and became investment manager for Burdaras and her latest role was heading debt finance with Straumur.

Margit holds a degree in business administration and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and is a chartered stockbroker

Having spent much of her adult life in France, Margit is now a genuine enthusiast for anything French. She is half Norwegian and loves to ski. She never misses an opportunity to spend a day in the mountains, in Iceland, Norway or somewhere in Europe. She is the mother of two children, Manon and Eliot and together they are raising Astro, their dog.
