Before joining Audur in December 2007 Tanya Zharov was VP, Corporate Governance and Administration of deCODE genetics and the company´s Corporate Secretary from 1997. She participated in financing the company in the US public markets, was responsible for the Company’s SEC filings and other matters. Prior to deCODE Tanya was a tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers specializing in international tax matters and corporate law.

Tanya holds a law degree from the University of Iceland.

Tanya is on the board of directors of Carbon Recycling.

Tanya was born in Russia but moved to Iceland at the age of 7. She has been involved in various international activities both in her professional and personal life, including an AFS year in Belgium and lots of business time spent in Russia and the US. International business, ballet, music, art, reading, running (after or without children) and visiting various beautiful cities around the world, two favorites being St. Petersburg and Paris.
